Bridal FAQs
1/ Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a £150 non-refundable deposit is taken to secure your wedding date and will be deducted from the over all price.
2/ Do you have a travel fee or charge for travel expenses?
Yes, travel is charged at 50p per mile from CM21. Car parking tickets and/or travel expenses such as trains will also be added to the final bill if applicable.
3/ When do I need to pay the final balance?
The final balance can either be paid via bank transfer or cash on the morning of the wedding.
4/ Where will the trial take place?
Trials take place at my home-based salon in Sawbridgeworth on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Trials in your own home can be organized but will incur an extra charge for travel and time.
5/ Should I come with washed hair for the trial?
I recommend washing your hair the day or night before the trial.
6/ Do I need to bring anything for the trial?
I recommend bringing any accessories you plan to use and your veil if you're having one. Also, bring images of hairstyles and ideas you like so I can understand your desired look.
7/ What time will you need to start on the day?
I allow 45 minutes to an hour per person, sometimes a little longer for the bride. You usually want to be ready around 1 hour before the ceremony for photos and to meet the registrar. Starting times depend on the size of your bridal party; we can confirm timings at your trial.
8/ What products and tools do you use?
I use products from Olaplex, L'Oréal Professional, Color Wow, Kenra, GHD, Paul Mitchell, and Schwarzkopf.
9/ I think my hair is too short; what can I do?
I recommend leaving haircuts 10-12 weeks to ensure you are growing your hair, and using regular treatments like Olaplex or K18. We can incorporate clip-in hair extensions into your style if extra hair is needed, or I offer tape extensions which can work well for adding length and volume for an updo.
10/ Should I have hair or makeup done first?
There is no right or wrong order to do hair and makeup. Personally, I recommend doing hair first, as prepping hair with tongs and a hairdryer can make you hot and can be uncomfortable with a full face of makeup.
11/ Should I wash my hair the morning of the wedding?
I recommend washing your hair the day or night before the wedding, but all these details will be confirmed with you at your trial.
12/ I have a big bridal party; will you be able to fit them all in?
I will always ensure we have enough time for each person. If needed, I can bring an additional stylist for the morning of the wedding.
